The Machinist was kinda scary, sad thing was I thought it would scare the person I went with more than me. Well produced though.

Sin City is really that bad? I've heard lots of people extolling its' praises. Hmmm. The Machinist wouldn't happen to be a horror, now, would it boys? :P

I don't know Sin City just seemed pathetic with no goodness apparent in it. It bore absolutely no Imago Dei and so had no joy in it.

The Machinist isn't a horror in my general schema of horrors but I could see how some could find it as such.

I agree Lani never before have I been so tempted to leave a movie after the first 15 mins. I held in there hoping to see some good but after watching out I found that I could have walked out and my life would have been just as it is because I stayed. In fact slightly better if I had walked out since then I would have got to enjoy more of the beautiful day.

Another movie I have just seen
EXistenZ: 3/10

btw my rating system is not comparing movies to each other but to some preconceived Form of how they should have been.

You might like it but its not my cup of tea.

Just saw Napoleon Dynamite for the second time, even though it definately is an acquired taste I find most majestic: 9.5/10
Manchurian Candidate: 8/10

Manchurian Candidate was interesting... seemed slightly pointless to me though. Didn't really take anything away from it.

Last Temptation is awesome! In some ways. In the soundtrack way it is outstanding (still one of my all-time favourite CDs after a good 6 or 7 years). Also in the [constructively] provocative way. Would be keen to see it again if you get it out sometime.
